Miss Selfridge

Originally, the exclusive London department store Selfridges had a young ladies fashion department, and when in 1966 Selfridges owner Charles Clore got an idea during a visit to New York, he decided to open concessions for young women's fashion under the name Miss Selfridge. The idea really took off and by 1967 Miss Selfridge concessions could be found in department stores across the country.

Miss Selfridge was acquired in 1999 by the huge Arcadia Group who have also acquired Topman, Topshop, Burtons, Dorothy Perkins, Sears plc, Wallis and Evans. Their glamorous advertising campaigns have used some of the world's most successful models including Yasmin le Bon, Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss. Their collections include Premium Collection, Late Night Edit, Capsule Collection, Occasion Shop, Party Shop and Holiday Shop. There are now over 170 Miss Selfridge stores in the United Kingdom alone with further stores around the world.
